Abstract

This study presents a linguistic analysis of blog posts in the Uzbek language, focusing on both sociolinguistic and stylistic aspects. With the rise of digital communication platforms, blogs have become an important medium for self-expression and cultural exchange in Uzbekistan. This research aims to explore how language use in blogs reflects social, regional, and generational differences, and how digital communication is influencing linguistic change in Uzbek. Data were collected from a variety of blog genres, including personal, cultural, and political blogs, and analyzed for patterns of formality, code-switching, and the influence of foreign languages (mainly Russian and English). The findings reveal significant variation in language use based on the context and intended audience of the blogs, highlighting the role of digital media in shaping contemporary linguistic practices in Uzbekistan. The study contributes to our understanding of digital sociolinguistics and the evolving dynamics of the Uzbek language in the modern world.
